Windows XP ‘How To’ Series (Part 1): Change the Appearance of Your Start Menu

          If you
have taken the leap to Windows XP, you will surely notice that there are many new
things to look at and get used to.  If you are like me, you might be used
to the way things were and you might not want them to change. 
Unfortunately, change is the only constant.

          To assist
in this transition, I will start to write a series of “XP How To” articles which explain how things are
done in Windows XP.

          The first
in this series is this article, dealing with the Start menu.

          To begin
with, I did not like my start menu. I wanted my old one back, so, to get
back to the old look of the Start Menu, take the following steps:

          1.  Right click on the Start button, select “Properties”,
and you will be presented with the following window:

          2.  Select the “Classic Start Menu” in this window, you
will then see the following:

          3.  Click “Apply” and be on your merry way.

You can hang onto the old times for a little while longer……
