While I was studying for the MCDBA and MCSE certifications I came across a number of free and low cost resources that helped me study for my exams. I’ve shared a number of these resources with the MCDBA discussion list and finally posted it as an article. (Click here to see the original article with NT4 resources)
While I was studying for the MCDBA and MCSE certifications I came across a number of free and low cost resources that helped me study for my exams. I’ve shared a number of these resources with the MCDBA discussion list and finally posted it as an article.

The response to that first article has been incredible and I’ve been wanting to do a similar list for the Windows 2000 exams. Here is the list of Windows 2000 resources that I’ve put together.

  1. The following websites have daily questions they send out to help you study for the W2K exams:
  2. Here are some of the websites with free online testing or practice questions for the Windows 2000 exams:
  3. As I mentioned in the first article, companies that sell practice exams often have demos of their product available. By downloading their demos you get a free set of questions to help you practice. This will also allow you to find out which testing interface works best for you, that way you can purchase only the products that you like most.

Sample tests are available to download from the following websites:

  4. Articles on the importance of TCP/IP for the W2K exams:
  5. Other Windows 2000 Articles: (NEW!)
  6. Study Guides for the W2K exams:
  7. I haven’t had a chance to figure out which books are helpful and which are not, so I’d be happy to take suggestions here.
  8. From the ask the experts file, come these two excellent resources… (NEW!)
  9. Other Windows 2000 resources
  10. Another resource that you may find helpful is BrainBench.com. This third party certification site won’t help you study the Microsoft exams directly, but their exams will certify your knowledge of Windows 2000 and other topics. This may help give you the confidence to conquer the Microsoft exams.

I hope you enjoyed this article and that you found these resources helpful.

Good Luck with your studies!!!
