Versata Logic Server to Support WebSphere 4.0

Versata Inc., Wednesday announced that the next major release of Versata Logic Server will support IBM’s WebSphere Application Server, Version 4.0 on Unix and Windows NT platforms.

Versata also announced plans to support IBM’s WebSphere Studio Workbench initiative.

Versata plans to deliver a range of benefits to businesses running on WebSphere 4.0, thus enabling enterprises to automate and implement complex business applications from a foundation of business rules.

The vendor’s automation engine is designed to help provide an increased return on investment by reducing the development and maintenance processes for transaction-based applications and to thus enable business users and IT specialists to more easily access and modify the core business rules associated with the application.

The latest release of the IBM WebSphere Application Server also comes with an array of features, providing customers with a range of Web application solutions to better develop and deploy business strategies. Enhancements include improved Web services enablement; unparalleled connectivity and interoperability; industry-leading performance, scalability and security as supported by recent PC Magazine tests; and greater integration into IBM’s electronic infrastructure middleware offerings.
