Bottom Line:

Primergy BX2560 M2 offers options that are highly competitive with mid- to high-end options from HPE and Dell. This box is a good pick for companies looking for unit that can handle heavy-duty Web workloads; it’s a high performance workhorse for these task.

Morever, this unit comes with an “everything is included” approach, which lessens the need for expensive in-house staff to set it up and maintain.

However, Primergy has a greater presence in Asia and Europe than in the USA. US-based companies may want to look closer to home to ensure a better fit with the vendor. But its enterprise technology track record makes it one that global organizations might consider.

Product Description:

The Primergy BX2560 M2 is a dual-socket server blade that addresses web infrastructure workloads up to high-performance computing applications. It harnesses Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors, up to two with 44 cores each). 2 TB of memory, two hot plug disk drives, and two additional mezzanine cards. Up to 16 virtual I/O ports with embedded 2x 10 Gbit/s LoM offer a choice of Ethernet, iSCSI, or Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) connectivity.

Fujitsu Primergy BX blade systems are built for converged infrastructures to reduce IT costs and time. As well as compute power, all required infrastructure and network components, storage capacity and management modules are included. An additional feature is the Fujitsu Primergy SX960 Storage Blade. It offers direct-attached storage for the BX blade and can support of up to 10 hot-plug SAS or SATA hard disks.
