In June 2015, Appformix emerged from stealth with a $7 million Series A round of funding and a technology platform that promises to give enterprises more control over their application infrastructure.
This week, Appformix is taking its promise a step further, thanks to an integration with the new Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4 for servers and the Intel Resource Director Technology (RDT) technology.
“RDT allows you to get code level visibility at the processor level,” Sumeet Singh, Founder and CEO of AppFormix, told ServerWatch.
By getting that level of deep visibility into server silicon, it’s possible to more accurately schedule application resources to help improve overall server and application performance.
“Using the cache allocation technology you can re-configure how processor cache is consumed by different workloads,” Singh said.
With Appformix and the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4, administrators can now specify a real-time policy that changes as workloads change.
