Oracle Corp. this week announced partnerships with a variety of e-business infrastructure management vendors that will support Oracle9i Application Server.

BMC, Computer Associates, Compuware, and Mercury Interactive have agreed to integrate their management products with Oracle9iAS.

Oracle Corp. this week announced partnerships with a variety of e-business infrastructure management vendors that will support Oracle9i Application Server.

Oracle anticipates that with support from these vendors’ products, IT administrators will be able to more easily deploy, maintain, and manage J2EE applications on Oracle9iAS.

Oracle believes that these alliances demonstrate its commitment to expand the variety of management products IT administrators can use with Oracle9iAS for performance monitoring, load testing, infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and service-level management.

By offering a complete and integrated application server to run J2EE applications, Oracle and its partners aim to provide a complete end-to-end deployment and management platform on which enterprises can run e-business applications.

“As part of our continuing partnership with Oracle, CA is happy to offer Oracle9i adopters the solutions they need to manage this powerful platform in conjunction with the rest of their e-business environments,” said David Hochhauser, CA’s vice president of marketing, Infrastructure Management.

Jayaram Bhat, vice president of Marketing, Mercury Interactive added, “With Mercury Interactive’s LoadRunner and Topaz enterprise testing and application performance management products integrated with Oracle9i Application Server, customers can quickly diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks before and after deployment for a superior user experience.”

Oracle9iAS provides load balancing, clustering, and deployment features to enable IT administrators to easily manage and maintain a Web infrastructure distributed across multiple servers worldwide.

The application server is the only one to be integrated with the Oracle database that offers built-in caching, enterprise portal software, and business intelligence features.
