One of the main updates to the latest version of Microsoft’s flagship business server software Windows Server 2012 is Server Manager. The Server Manager tool has been completely rewritten for 2012 and now allows IT managers to be able to quickly and easily administer multiple servers, no matter where they are in the world, from a single interface.

With Server Manger you can update, tweak and patch your Windows servers as a group, or update them individually. No longer do you need to log in to each server individually to apply updates; instead, you just select the servers you need to update, select the update and click. Server Manager does everything else for you. Just think how much time you could save?

In addition to its ability to update multiple servers, the utility now has a more visual interface, making it easy to see at a glance which devices are working well (they’re highlighted in green) and which devices are currently in critical status(highlighted in red).

To help you get more out of the new features of Server Manager, the Microsoft experts at Firebrand Training have put together a simple, handy Windows Server 2012 infographic that takes you step-by-step through the capabilities of Server Manager. So why not download and print it out now and keep it next to your PC?
