Serves different directory roots for different IP addresses If the operating system allows a single CPU to have more than one IP address (most commonly by having more than one network interface card), it is beneficial if the Web server can use different IP addresses to indicate different Web sites. The easiest way to do this is to say that each IP address gets a different directory tree from which to serve.
