HP Bluestone today announced new releases of Total-e-Server, Total-e-Transactions, and Total-e-Syndication. The three products make up the company’s Internet Operating Environment.
The three products make up the company’s Internet Operating Environment, a middleware offering that is made up of J2EE and XML-based products, including an application server, distributed transactioning, and syndication technologies.
Version 7.3 of HP Bluestone Total-e-Server is fully Java-compliant. The application server has received certification on Sun Microsystems’ J2EE. This release will also feature enhanced implementations of Java Message Service and Java Transaction Service. Java Developers Kit 1.3 is also supported, while Sun’s Connectors specification is currently being implemented. A free, downloadable evaluation version of Total-e-Server is expected to be available via the Web at www.bluestone.com when 7.3 is released.
Total-e-Transactions Release 2.1, the latest version of HP Bluestone’s commercially available distributed transaction service, is being developed entirely with Java technology and based on Sun Microsystems’ Java Transaction Service and OMG’s Object Transaction Service specifications. Total-e-Transactions claims an easier setup, enhanced reliability and throughput to organizations demanding the extreme performance, availability, and fault tolerance of a fully distributed, pure Java transactioning system for mission-critical applications.
Total-e-Syndication is HP Bluestone’s standards-based, pure Java syndication infrastructure. It aims to position organizations for the next logical step in their “extraprise” and B2B exchange efforts by automating the management and distribution of the digital content flowing from businesses to distribution channels, suppliers, and customers
