May 8, 2002 On Tuesday, the Apache Software Foundation announced the release of version 2.0.36 of the Apache HTTP Server. Apache 2.0 has been running on several servers for over a year, but this is only the second official public release. Apache 2.0 series includes support for filtered I/O which allows modules to modify the output of other modules before being sent to the client.
