July 11, 2007 June 2007 Security Space Survey Results By ServerWatch Staff
The Security Space Web Server Survey is a survey of Web server software usage on the Internet broken down by 86 domains. Security Space estimates that nearly 90 percent of all Web sites are "orphans" to which no other sites link. Its Web server survey therefore counts only those servers referenced on other sites.
More than 24.7 million Web sites responded to the June 2007 survey, a slight increase from March's response of 23.3 million. This was the second consecutive quarter to exhibit a new peak.
Nearly 10.9 million, or 44 percent, of Security Space sites surveyed had .com domains.
