Steltor Offers Outlook-Compatible Mail Server Option
Organizations looking for an Outlook-compatible sever other than Microsoft Exchange now have a new option to consider.
Montreal, Canada based Steltor Tuesday released OutlookConnector 3.3 and CorporateTime Server 5.3, two new products that offer IMAP4 and collaborative calendaring and scheduling capabilities for Microsoft Outlook.Organizations looking for an Outlook-compatible sever other than Microsoft Exchange now have a new option to consider.
"CorporateTime Server and OutlookConnector are targeted at enterprise customers that are planning to upgrade corporate desktops to Windows XP or Outlook 2002," noted Francois Perrault, director of product management for Steltor.
"Demand for a cost-effective alternative to Exchange has exploded this past year," said Marten den Haring, vice president of marketing.
"These new products have been designed to meet this demand and capitalize on this momentum. As the only Exchange alternative that matches up with Microsoft's latest platform and client releases we are able to offer the flexibility and choice that today's enterprise customers need to improve workplace efficiencies," den Haring added.
OutlookConnector 3.3 comes with support for digital signatures and expanded wireless delivery capabilities.
In addition, the CorporateTime Server 5.3 mail server offers faster processing of large meeting requests, quicker free/busy time look-ups, and speedy access to other people's agendas.
OutlookConnector supports the new features of Outlook 2002 and will be available in English, French, and German language versions.
