Support for the BEA WebLogic Server is the newest component of Mercator's strategy to extend the benefits of its market-leading integration broker technology to the leading Web application platforms.Mercator Software (MCTR), the e-business transformation company, has announced that its new Mercator Web Integrator will now support BEA WebLogic Server.
This new support is designed to allow Mercator and BEA customers to benefit from being able to easily integrate enterprise business processes and data sources in Web-based business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-enterprise (B2E) application environments.
"BEA WebLogic Server has gained tremendous popularity in the market as a platform for rapidly deploying adaptable and personalized e-commerce applications," said Dave Power, vice president of marketing for Mercator. "Our relationship with BEA will enable our joint customers to address the Web integration challenges associated with e-business transformation."
Mercator's alliance with BEA is part of its initiative to deliver new capabilities in its E-Business Integration Broker suite and includes support for industry-leading Web application server platforms. The Mercator Web Integrator enables Mercator's customers to create and deploy Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) and Java servlets, which encapsulate Mercator's e-business transformation capabilities, into leading Java application servers and Web servers. Mercator-generated EJBs and servlets enable enterprise customers and market makers to extend their business processes to the Web easily, as well as to support the e-business transformation requirements of their customers, supply chain, and trading partners. The Mercator Web Integrator further extends Mercator's reach beyond application-to-application environments within corporate firewalls, and significantly strengthens its capability to support B2B and business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce applications in loosely coupled business environments.
Mercator, a self-described e-business transformation company, provides e-business integration software.
