How to get what you need from SMS logs

I prefer to use SMS Tracer 2.0 to
read SMS logs. Despite it's ambiguous name, this is a log reading
utility located on the SMS CD in the Support\Reskit\i386\Smstrace
directory. This utility offers much more than Notepad,
namely:
Look for yourself. To install; browse the the above path and
run Traceinst.exe Tips for quicker access Log files on your system NT system are probably
associated with Notepad. Because of this it seems as though it takes
a little more effort to open logs with SMS Trace. Want to add SMS
Tracer to the send to menu? Do the following; Install SMS Tracer
using the above procedure. Do a find for SMSTrace.exe, place a short
cut in the Winnt\profiles\"your profile"\send to directory. To test;
browse to a SMS log file. Right-click on the file, select send to,
select SMS Trace. Ta Da. You could also create a short-cut on your
desktop and drag SMS logs into the short-cut. You choose. Give it a try, I think you like it.
