December 31, 2002

IBM Corporation announced the "Move2Lotus" program has been expanded to include tools and technology to help customers migrate to IBM Lotus Domino on Sun Microsystems Solaris-based platforms.

IBM's Move2Lotus program is designed to help provide customers using competitive messaging and collaboration products, including Microsoft Exchange and Novell Groupwise, the tools and services they need to migrate to Lotus Domino, and the Move2Lotus for Sun offering includes additional benefits for customers looking to move off of their current operating system.

IBM has designed tools and solutions for over 500 business partners that have joined the Move2Lotus program in the last year. Expanding Move2Lotus to include migration to the Sun platform can help provide additional business value for partners and customers in search of higher end-user productivity, lower cost of ownership and enhanced security features.

Move2Lotus for Sun is available directly through IBM, Sun Microsystems, over 500 IBM business partners and via IBM Software Services for Lotus. The total migration solution offers customers who are currently using competitive messaging and collaborative products, including Microsoft Exchange and Novell Groupwise, on Wintel hardware competitive discounts for migrating to Lotus Domino. This joins the existing Move2Lotus for IBM eServer offer which rewards customers moving to Lotus Domino on eServer hardware.
