Digex Announces Solaris Support

Digex, a provider of managed Web and application hosting services, announced the expansion of its database offerings with support for IBM's DB2 Universal Database software on Solaris, Windows 2000 and Linux platforms. Digex now offers managed application level support for the three major databases available on the market today: Oracle, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
IBM DB2 database software is designed to provide a scalable, Web-ready database that delivers the performance, scalability, reliability, and availability needed for applications such as eCommerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence. Digex provides managed support for databases through its of in-house database administrators, 24x7x365 support and monitoring services. In addition, Digex offers options, including tape backup and recovery of databases, to assist customers in the event of hardware failure, user error or other unforeseen events.
Digex Managed Application Services for databases are specifically targeted to large enterprises that require a managed database platform. This offer includes the essential managed services recommended for database servers, including administration and troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, security and backup.
