Gateway Launches 90-Day Guarantee on Servers
In the hopes of beefing up its business customer base, Gateway Friday announced the extension of its money-back server guarantee from the industry standard of 30 days to 90 days. Gateway is laying claim to being the first vendor to offer this option.
With Server Guarantee, an enterprise that purchases a server and network installation with a Microsoft operating system from Gateway has until 90 days post-installation to return the server for a full refund if dissatisfied (assuming the server is in the same condition as purchased).
The 90-day, money-back aspect is just one segment of the Server Guarantee, which begins with a free technology consultation with a Gateway network engineer to determine network and business requirements and is followed by a custom proposal recommending hardware, software, installation, network configuration and, services.
A Gateway network engineer then installs the server and performs any necessary network integration. The hardware vendor also follows ups with a free on-site health check 30 days after installation.
In addition to the money-back option, the Server Guarantee will include upgraded technical support over the phone for 90 days, a $129 value, according to Gateway.
If within the 90 days, the enterprise opts to return the server, Gateway will pick it up, transfer the data file back to the old server using its standard data migration service, and refund the original purchase price and associated installation fees.
Gateway developed Server Guarantee to improve the server buying process and ensure customer satisfaction through the purchase and installation processes.
