Earlier this week, eWeek labs put the competing servers to the test to compare performance of the new Apache 2.0 with Microsoft's IIS 5.0, both running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. According to the results of the performance testing, Apache kept pace with IIS, which indicated that sites moving from IIS to Apache 2.0 on Windows would not experience any changes in performance.
