Fuji Increases Number of NICs and HBAs on Servers
A virtualized IT infrastructure was deployed at Fuji TV by Hitachi Solutions and Hitachi Electronics Services. Although Fuji TV understood the efficiency of the virtual platform, they faced physical I/O bottleneck issues that limited the further integration of their IT system. PR USA reports that Fuji TV decided to adopt Xsigo I/O virtualization technology in their infrastructure to keep up with the increasing number of NICs and HBAs on each server.
IT infrastructure strengthened with Xsigo Virtual I/O.
The company manages more than 150 physical servers and is currently in the process of migrating data center workloads to the new infrastructure. With the new infrastructure, Fuji TV expects to increase resource utilization, reduce power, space and cooling demands, and lower overall total cost of ownership.
"Hitachi Solutions and Hitachi Electronics capitalize on the full range of Hitachi capabilities to solve customer problems with advanced technologies and complete system integration, backed by technologies, reliability, and rich experience.
