Elpida Launches Record Density Memory Modules

Elpida Memory announced the launch of prototype memory modules with a record density. As reported on IT Chuiko, with a capacity equal to 32 GB, the new modules are DDR3 LRDIMM (Load Reduced Dual In-Line Memory Module). They include 72 memory chips with a density of 4 Gbps, which were used in the production rate of 40 nm process technology."


Elpida produces server memory modules DDR3 LRDIMM with 32-GB.

"In addition, for more stable work manufacturer of memory modules to equip its special heat sinks. So far, as mentioned above, modules DDR3 LRDIMM with 32 GB of Elpida is only available in the form of test specimens and their mass production should start in the first quarter of next year."
