Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V Integrates With OpenStack
Microsoft is collaborating with Cloud.com to provide integration and support to the Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V as part of the OpenStack project, an open source cloud-computing platform. As reported on Windows 7.com, by using OpenStack organizations and service providers will be able to run a mix of Microsoft and non-Microsoft infrastructure products with greater flexibility.
The Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V will be integrated as part of the OpenStack project.
"Microsoft, as part of its collaborative efforts, will provide architectural and technical guidance to Cloud.com. Meanwhile, for its part, Cloud.com will develop the code to support OpenStack on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V. So when it is complete, the project code will be checked into the public code repository at http://openstack.org."
