Idera has recently announced new versions of its Microsoft SQL Server management and administration tools. The refreshed solutions include SQL safe 6.4, SQL safe lite 6.4 and SQL virtual database 1.4. As mentioned in this news release on Market Wire, the latest version of SQL safe enables DBAs to manage an organization's entire network of SQL Server backups across trusted and non-trusted domains.

The company has released new versions of its Microsoft SQL Server management tools.

"'With SQL safe, we have one place we can go to manage our backup and recovery operations and see if things are performing the way they should be,' said Chad Markle, Senior DBA at Metropolitan Telecommunications, an integrated communications provider to more than 5,000 businesses across the U.S. 'Also, SQL virtual database allows us to simply attach any log backups and within a few minutes, I'm accessing the data in the backup files.'"

"SQL safe lite gives DBAs a high-performance compression engine that provides up to 95% compression and a scriptable interface at a very low price. The latest version supports SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows 2008 R2."
