Acer has recently announced an aggressive expansion plan in the server market that the company claims will help to spread out its business to gain more profits. As reported on the Financial Chronicle, Acer said it will be adding 17 new server models to its portfolio, along with technology partners Intel and Microsoft.

An aggressive expansion plan in the server market has Acer offering 17 new server models along with technology partners Intel and Microsoft.

"Presently, the company has presence in two server categories mainly in the Tower and Rack form factor. Acer server has an installed base of over 37,000 units in India.

"The company said its aggressive expansion plan in the server market will help to spread out its business to gain more profits.

"In 2009, the company’s total shipments stood at 39.8 million, while the turnover was $17.9 billion."
