Dell to Acquire Ocarina Networks
Dell has recently announced a signed agreement to acquire Ocarina Networks, a provider of storage optimization technology including compression and deduplication.
According to this TMCnet report, Ocarinas technology optimizes data across the IT environment and drives reductions in costs associated with
data center management functions such as disk capacity, network bandwidth, power and cooling, and data center space management.
Ocarina storage optimization technology helps to reduce data center management, data center space, power usage and bandwidth.
