NEC Fault Tolerant Servers Provide VMware Support

NEC Corporation of America (NEC) has announced that its suite of Fault Tolerant (FT) servers now support VMware vSphere natively. In the company's news release, NEC said that its Express5800 R320a and 320Fd FT server series can be implemented quickly and easily to deliver continuous VMware processing and availability in the event of both planned and unplanned outages, offering data integrity and availability for virtualized environments.


The NEC FT server series can now deliver continuous VMware processing and availability in the event of outages.

"With the adoption of virtualization for mainstream applications growing quickly, the need for continuous availability in these environments is becoming even more important. The introduction of VMware vSphere on the NEC FT systems delivers continuous processing to VMware guest environments with performance and simplicity never before available in a VMware environment."
