Parallels Releases Server 4 for Mac Server Virtualization

Parallels has recently announced the launch of Parallels Server 4 for Mac, a server virtualization solution that is optimized for Mac OS X server environments. As reported in this DABCC story, Parallels Server 4 for Mac consolidates multiple operating systems resulting in less physical space, less power consumption and less administration requirements to manage the server.


Parallels has launched Parallels Server 4 for Mac, claiming the new server virtualization solution increases speed and reliability for small businesses.

"Other significant upgrades include host and guest support for Snow Leopard as well as guest support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. In addition, it now includes Apple xSAN support, VLANs, resource usage accounting, full and incremental backups, migration and conversion of virtual machines as well as express installations for Windows and Linux guests."
