Sanbolic has announced its software storage solution, designed for hosted dynamic data centers. According to the company's news release, Sanbolic Melio 2010 provides a unified storage platform for Microsoft Hyper-V, physical servers, and virtual machines running Windows applications.

Sanbolic Melio 2010 integrates easily with Windows Server Hyper-V virtualization and System Center Management components.

"Close integration with Microsoft technologies allows hosting providers to easily incorporate Melio 2010 into a hosted cloud environment. Melio 2010 supports Hyper-V live migration, and can be used with System Center Virtual Machine Manager or Windows deployment services when dynamically provisioning new servers. Reporting on storage I/O at the VHD level can be done using System Center Operations Manager, and the information can then be incorporated into a customer capacity management and billing system."
