Oracle Updates Virtualization Technologies
Oracle has recently announced a new version of its Sun Ray virtualization client and its Virtual Desktop Infrastructure has also be upgraded. According to
this report on Top News, the company claims that the new features aim to reduce the overall cost.
The Sun Ray 3 Plus client can significantly reduce power consumption.
"The power consumption can be lowered to a significant level by creating a virtual desktop on a user's machine, by the help of Sun Ray 3 Plus Client.
"The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure 3.1.1 has been aimed to pump up the performance of all virtual systems which is apart from offering a centralized managing platform for Linux and Solaris, the new VDI will also be compatible with Windows 7."
