AMD has recently announced world-record 2P price/performance scores in the benchmark tests for online transaction processing. The record-setting scores were achieved on an HP ProLiant DL385 G7 server powered by the new AMD Opteron 6000 Series platform. The
company's news release on MarketWire says that the HP ProLiant DL385 G7 server was powered by AMD Opteron processor Model 6176 SE running Microsoft SQL Server R2 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.
