Supermicro Offers Xeon-Friendly Server
Supermicro has recently announced a new line of server, workstation, and blade solutions that support Xeon processors 5600/3600. According to ChannelPro SMB, the new TwinBlade supports up to 20 dual-socket server blades per 7U enclosure.
The company has announced a line of server, workstation, and blade solutions that support the Intel Xeon processor 5600/3600 series.
"Supermicro's TwinBlade is based on the SBI-7226T-T2 blade supports up to 20 dual-socket server blades per 7U enclosure. Combined with dual 40 Gb/s InfiniBand, FCoE, or 10GbE switches and dual 1/10 GbE switches in one 7U enclosure.
