GigaSpaces Xtreme Application Platform (XAP) is an application server that enables VARs to deploy, manage, and scale Java and .Net applications. According to the news report on ChannelPro, XAP is designed to utilize terabytes of memory, multi-core programming, high-speed networks, and virtualization across the entire middleware stack.


The company's eXtreme Application Platform helps software vendors transition their products to the cloud.

"XAP offers an array of middleware services, including a transactional in-memory data grid, a parallel processing engine, and a messaging infrastructure.

"According to GigaSpaces, VARs that want clients to use their technology within the data center can 'significantly reduce costs and speed transaction processing with XAP as well.'"
