Mark Payne, VP of EMEA industry standard servers at HP looks at the emerging trends in data center management and design.
"HP has put considerable focus on the converged IT infrastructure, having unveiled last November its Converged Infrastructure Architecture vision. This approach helps create a virtualized, on-demand data center with a set of related services and partner offerings.
"Payne emphasized the need for businesses to differentiate through a converged infrastructure, bringing together the components of storage, servers, network, management software, and power and cooling technologies.
"In order to build a converged infrastructure, Payne says a company must be virtualized, resilient, orchestrated, optimized, and modular."
